Ann or Laura - Who is worse??

More I watch these women speak, I just can't resist asking this question!! I know both are really bad. But the question is - who is worse? :) Is it Ann Coulter or Laura Ingraham ?

Lets see:
- Both are very irritating
- Both have very annoying voice
- Both have same talking points like a broken record
- Both think Iraq is very safe and all our soldiers are very very happy out there
- Both are quite regular on FOX tv

Here is the more dangerous observation. Have you seen Michelle Malkin lately? She tries more and more to talk like Ann Coulter these days. She even immitates Ann's voice and style. Such a torture!

Ok, coming back to my question - who is worse? You want my take on this? I think we should ask Dinesh D'Souza who reportedly dated both Ann and Laura. What do u say? :)

Story of three nations…

When British left in 1947, they split it into two. One was secular and the other one was based on a religion. Later one of them gave birth to a third one. All three countries have gone thru their own share of challenges, disasters and crisis. They all share many common values starting from rampant corruption to exploding population to mouth-watering food. An outsider can hardly tell the difference – they all look same. They even watch the same movies!! They are all crazy about cricket!
However, almost sixty years after the birth, one country clearly stands out for good and right reasons unlike the other two. Even in the middle of all the chaos and mess, it has made tremendous growth. It managed to contain its religious madness at a reasonable level. It never lost its focus on education, democracy and family values. It definitely deserves all the credit – Here it is in the latest issue of TIME magazine.

Why ?

I often wonder what would be the last thing Al-Zarqawi saw before taking his last breath. Could it be those American soldiers who reached him as he slipped in and out of consciousness? Was he angry with what happened to him? I also wonder what Zarqawi would have done if he had seen an injured American soldier. Probably behead the soldier when it is being video taped?? Ah - what a disgusting person he was.
Can't stop thinking about it as they have done it again with two more captured American soldiers. Very depressing.
Then, I get into my car and turn on the radio – I hear Michael Savage blaming this on President Clinton!! Come home and turn on the TV – I see Bill O’Reilly chatting with Laura Ingraham on main stream media bias towards left. Oh my….what’s wrong with these people??

Peace....

Got so tired of war and talking heads. So, decided to pamper myself with some good food. I don’t like to use those ready-to-use spice mixes these days. I make my own spice mix using coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and mustard. I also use ginger, garlic, tamarind, turmeric, curry leaves and asafoteda for added flavor. Came out pretty well and knocked me right into state of ‘nirvana’!! :)

Ok, ok – let me stop here - Don’t drool on the keyboard, please – grab a napkin!!

Zero tolerance…

If you ever wonder what corruption can do to a country and society, just read this. By the way, it’s only the tip of iceberg out there.

I’m glad that Republican Randy “Duke” Cunningham is serving in prison. And a few more politicians could be on their way too! We should all remind ourselves what can happen to our society if we ever show leniency towards these corrupt figures.

It's Over!!

Remember the severed head of Nicholas Burg ? It was one of those things you wish you didn’t see. One might always wonder what makes some people to land in a war zone trying to make some quick bucks. But it doesn’t justify how he was killed by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and his gang.
Well, bad karma finally caught up with him yesterday. What goes around comes around?
We all understand the fighting against an occupation based on an ideology and beliefs. We may or may not agree with it. But I just couldn’t understand all the slaughtering of innocent men, women, children and all the car bombs in mosques hoping to start a civil war. You think any sane person will support this evil called Zarqawi? Alright – his game is over now. Goodbye, Zarqawi – we will never see you again.

War and Peace

“As long as Man continues to be the ruthless destroyer of lower living beings he will never know health and peace.”

Well, that was Pythagoras in 6th century BC.

Nothing has changed much. Killing still continues. My heart goes out for those innocent civilians caught in the middle of madness called war! It’s heart wrenching.

Rep. John Murtha has been very vocal about it. As the debate over al-Haditha incident heats up with another special piece in the latest issue of TIME …I wonder…Is it ever possible to fight a war with a rule book in one hand and a gun on the other? How do you play by the rules when your opponent has no rules? May be, I just don’t get it. Blockhead? May be!

Two Observations...

First :

This is how CNN reported the foiled Toronto terror plot -
The detained suspects are all males, Canadian residents "from a variety of backgrounds" and followers of a "violent ideology inspired by al Qaeda".
Ummm, I really wonder who this would be? A bunch of Chinese Canadians? Or, may be, native american youth who happen to be influenced by Al Qaeda ? No idea.

Second :

Click here to see Steve King - Iowa Congressman (R) explaining how Iraq is safer than Washington, Detroit or Baltimore. Thanks to FOX News and Neil Cavuto for this brilliant piece of information. We are all very proud of you. I am already thinking of a vacation in Iraq!

In Year 2005, desi kids did pretty well bagging the top four positions. I don't know what happened this year. Hopefully 2007 would be a better year?

Indian Fried Bread

What do you think of Jared Diamond’s book 'Guns, Germs and Steel – The fates of human societies' ? I don’t know about you – but I love reading this book again and again. There is something about the whole human history and evolution – just so amazing.

Here is a pic from my recent long drive. Oh, I love those roads with almost no traffic. Especially on the way back, it was as if I was the only one traveling – such an eerie feeling. But the long drive was worth though – look at the fried bred! :)
