Left a comment on daijiworld.com condemning terror suspects caught by Bangalore police. (Note - I always use a fake name.) They published it only after promptly editing my original comment!! They had removed ‘Islam’ from ‘radical Islam’. See, the first screenshot - I’ve highlighted it with a red circle.
So, I thought I would leave another comment. So, I did – this time condemning Hindu organization. Again, I used the same type of language. Bingo!! They had no issue publishing ‘Radical Hinduism’! See the second screen.
I did this for two reasons:
- Of course, I had free time on Saturday
- To understand the ‘journalistic’ values practiced by daijiworld editors! :) Now, I have no illusions left.
For those who have been reading daijiworld-like dishonest news portals, this won't be a surprise.

Excellent Nagaraj. Same happened to me too on daijiworld. They do modify comments for their own convenience. Their only intention seems to be bashing Hindu groups.

I am not surprised - I had the same doubts on daijiworld. The site is clearly funded by 'special interest' groups for sure. They are enganged in systematic anti-VHP/RSS propaganda for some time now. They really want to see a huge divide between Hindus and non-Hindus so they can increase their viewership with 'sensational' stories!! Pathetic!!

You are right on that. Daijiworld is a THIRD CLASS portal and I think it is funded by Gulf based underworld people who don't want/wish to have any development activity to happen in undivided DK district. They are also against Home Minister since he is from BRAHMIN community.

Founder of Daijiworld Walter Nandalike was a pimp supplying high end prostitutes to royals and underworlds in Dubai before he was kicked out from UAE after caught blackmailing a royal.
Then Walter started Daijiworld knowing how the Mangaloreans in UAE crave for news from back home.
Walter took credit for Mangalore becoming internatioanl report while it was a poor guy called Rajesh Sequeira who toiled hard.
Now Walter has started Daiji media in Mangalore - some say he is back into his old tricks of pimping - dozens of girls work in his so called office.
He is very close to all key (useless) senior Congress leaders and has been offered big money to bash state BJP govt and Hindus in general.
You are doing a great job exposing Daijiworld and Walter Nandalike.

Oh Nelson Lewis Bahrain is here. If I have not mistaken, this is the same Nelson Lewis who used to send dozens of comments to daijiworld on any issues under the sun. He even continued penning a column for them for sometime. He had his profile published in daijiworld too. I heard that thereafter when he wanted sneak too much into daijiworld, he had to reminded of his limitations. And Lo! No surprising. He's found bashing daijiworld now. I can't imagine that people of his stature can stoop to these levels. Nelson how many dozens of girls work in daijiworld? Don't simply scribble some non-sense just because you could not get what you wanted from them. Go to daijiworld office or find out from someone outsider about Daijiworld office. There are Hindus, Muslims and Christians working for them. There are more men than women in their group. And for your information, as per as I know, there are more Hindu staff on their news desk and administration that Catholics. Regarding modifying comments, every Editor reserves the right either to modify or even not to publish the comment. You people scribble something with fake identity and live happily seeing people fight over it. But those people have to survive there. Just check once more. Send some neutral comment, whether it is secular or communal, with proper wordings, it will appear as it is. But retain original name. I have been writing comments to daijiworld for long and know about it quite well. Regarding they sideling with secular forcesm, what is wrong in that? Aren't Udayavani and Vijaya Karnataka mouthpieces of BJP and RSS in Dakshina Kannada? Isn't The Hindu finds solidarity with Leftists? Isn't Vartha Bharathi supporting Muslims? Then what is wrong Daijiworld supporting Christians? After all it is owned by Catholics and for every individual his religion, community comes first and then the rest.

nothing big thing in this, every portal, papers edit the comments as they want. Show me any single 'honest' portal on this earth? every portal us its own interest. Regarding Nelson Lewis' comment, it shows how frastrated he is ! He did not get importance in daijiworld, and now he is writing for ther small blogs, where he does not get attention at all !! What I heard from my friend is Nelson Lewis' wife is a prostitute in Mumbai, and daijiworld exposed this news in one of thier mumbai news bulletin. That made him to write bad comment on Walter. I am in Dubai and regularly meeting Walter in Dubai, so where is the question of kicking walter out of UAE?

I agree with Vittal that daiji editing comments. It is because their main office is located in dubai and if they publish anything against islam, then their office will be ransacked and they all will be kicked out from that land. Sometimes I too felt that daiji is not publishing the truth. whatever the case the main intention behind this web is business. There is no doubt that Walter is making millions from party and spiritual leaders.

It publishes news of small damage to church door even that is common accident by motorists as public to feel that its has done by BJP. op ed, but one cannot censor your comments like they do on daiji - absolutely no comments are allowed anything close to opposing their views. its disgusting what walter and co. are following.

Yesterday I had left a comment regarding some news. There were no vulgar words used in it. But the daiji administrators did not publish my comment. Being a christian I will no more support daiji. Its playing some sort of politics with our emotions. Another thing I noticed was that their news always will be one sided, ie they support one community while they go against the other.

I was Just browsing through net a few days back suddenly came across this write up...discussion about daijiworld.... i hardly knew anything about this portal and About Mr Walter Nandalike... the comments made me feel that i should browse this site .. i did for a couple of days...i was amazed to know that Daijiworld though a media.. it works basically for a social concern... it has done wonders in so many people life's.The money raised for the needy and the sick and their approach towards the society has been tremendous...i suppose none of the other media related portals could do such a thing....And to say you people could have time to abuse someone... but am sure none of you could make an attempt to open a blog that would help someone...
And ya about the complaints against the editing of your comments... yup its true but did u ever realize that your comment if posted the way it was could cause more unrest in the society???
