My experiment with truth…

Pic-1

Pic-2

This is what I did yesterday.

Left a comment on daijiworld.com condemning terror suspects caught by Bangalore police. (Note - I always use a fake name.) They published it only after promptly editing my original comment!! They had removed ‘Islam’ from ‘radical Islam’. See, the first screenshot - I’ve highlighted it with a red circle.

So, I thought I would leave another comment. So, I did – this time condemning Hindu organization. Again, I used the same type of language. Bingo!! They had no issue publishing ‘Radical Hinduism’! See the second screen.

I did this for two reasons:
- Of course, I had free time on Saturday
- To understand the ‘journalistic’ values practiced by daijiworld editors! :) Now, I have no illusions left.

For those who have been reading daijiworld-like dishonest news portals, this won't be a surprise.

Zaika India Ka...

I came across this video - Mangalore food was featured on "Zaika India Ka" - an NDTV program. Here is the link.
Man, Vinod Dua looks same as he looked back in my High school days!! Some people just don't get old! :)
My only complaint is...he didn't say anything about Mangalore Goli Bajji !! If you are from Mangalore, you know how popular the snack is! :)

Uppaluri Gopala Krishnamurti

While growing up, I tried to read both Krishnamurties – Jiddu and UG. Probably I was in high school when I got the first book. Our college library had a collection of short essays by various writers on these two personalities and their messages. I didn’t understand a thing! It was like all of your questions bouncing back at you with no answers...! So, I went back to Vivekananda who was easier for my little brain.

As you all probably know, UG died in March 2007. Listen to his parting message. The person asking him questions is Bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt.

Human mind is very random like our life and world. More you try to understand, more meaningless it appears. May be, that was his message??
